Miss jownow

Miss jownow quatrain

Miss journee was very kind
She would always help
Miss journee was not blind
She would scamper like a sausage roll

Miss journee was not a troll
The madam liked to bowl
She wouldn't ever yelp
She had a nice scalp

In class we liked miss journee
Our ambition was fora good day
For miss journee and her yezzy
Trust me it was not easy

Miss journee would not gorgonize
Miss journee was always orgonize
Miss journee was too cheesy
I told you her throat wasn't wezzy

Why We Should Have Brain Breaks!

I strongly believe that in Room 1 we should have a brain break daily and after reading my exposition I am sure that you will agree with me and tell everyone that brain breaks in schools are the way forward for the future of children’s well being.

Brain breaks are short energizing bursts of activity that boost blood flow, send oxygen to the brain, and help kids better retain information. Research has shown that Brain Breaks increase student’s on-task behaviour AND the amount of physical activity they get every day, so it’s a win-win.

At our school they would fit in by cutting writing time in half, so the brain break is in the middle to refresh the mind and help off-tasks students get back on task. Another time that we could hold the Brain Break could be during inquiry time in the afternoon because that is when most people are in a tired, grumpy, unresponsive state and do not want to participate. And possibly in between R.E. and maths, just for 10 minutes about twice a day.

After having a brain break students will be more engaged and more ready to learn from the exercise that has woken them up from their slumber. And if you are wondering about the students that are already on-task, they will be extra, extra on-task. I personally think the class will generally be happier due to the excitement about the great games that we will be playing. In addition, other positives will be that their general attributes will raise because of these games and the enjoyment children are feeling at school. Children will not be going home in a grump and taking it out on their parents.

In addition, children who are regularly having a brain break will be away from their screens and according to Joy Swanson, well away from drugs as well because using ICT has the same symptoms as using drugs. Now who wouldn’t in their right mind think that we should have a brain break after reading that?

In conclusion, I think brain breaks would be the perfect use of time to help us regenerate our focus and energy. With happy students comes with happy teachers and a happier school.  Viva la revolution, be the change, make that change Ms Journee, make New Brighton Catholic great again.

My gratitude for your time and patience. Your humble servant Luke Bottomley

social media lesson

This week in my class room, room one we talked about cyber safety,
what to share and what not to share. Some options were in in the middle like a photo of your dog, it was put in the middle because on the dogs collar you might be able to see a phone number.
Just in case you were wondering what the 'middle' is, it is the part in the centre of what to share and what not to share, so it goes both ways.
Overall it was pretty fun and good for us, so now we now some steps to go through before posting on social media.

Thank you, Luke.

Gareth Bale

I think Gareth Bale should rejoin Tottenham Hotspur football club to strengthen the side and help win some jewellery. After reading my exposition I am sure you will agree.

With a new transfer of Gareth Bale to Tottenham, they would strengthen their offence throughly, which will mean more goals. If they score more goals there will be more entertainment for viewers and with lots of viewers come's lots of money!

Another positive about having Gareth Bale would be that Tottenham's league standing would improve and he could possibly help them win their first title in 57 years!

I feel Gareth Bale would play a lot better because he is a lot closer to home (Wales) and when you are closer to your home you tend to play better.

In conclusion I think Tottenham should re-sign Bale so their goal ratio improves and so they win some more trophies 🏆. Now I'm sure you will aggree with me.

class captain can't occur

This is My exposition on why room one should not have a class captain

I think room one shouldn't have a class captain because it does no good for anyone but the class captain.

Having a class captain will leave people excluded. Think of all the opportunities you could lose to whom was voted for! Do you really just wont to throw away nearly all your class jobs and leaderships in this class room? Along with that some people may sulk or get grumpy over the outcome.

Why would Room one need a class captain if we already have a teacher? What has ever gone wrong without one? Also, going to a catholic school we know in Gods eyes everyone is equal. It would be a bad idea to suddenly make someone powerful over others!

With having no class captain there will be plenty of happy pupils and with plenty of work and leaderships to do, and with happy kids comes a happy teacher and with a happy teacher there is no need for a class captain.

In conclusion, I think there would be no need for a class captain, due to all the grumpy kid that would not get voted for!

THE END!
